Howard Goldstein Appointed To The President's Council Of Florida International University
MIAMI, Fla., January 4, 2010 - Howard L. Goldstein, CPA, Managing Partner of the accounting firm Mallah Furman, has been elected to serve as a member of Florida International University's (FIU) President's Council.
FIU's President's Council is comprised of business and civic leaders who serve as ambassadors and advisors to help foster community support for the university, one of the most vital resources of the South Florida infrastructure.
"FIU has always been an organic and vibrant part of our community that deserves the attention and support of its business leaders," says Goldstein. "I believe that in order to receive you must be able to give. Giving back to the community is just an example and requirement of GOOD CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP. Howard L. Goldstein is the managing partner at Mallah Furman with over 35 years experience. He has broad knowledge in all phases of taxation, both domestic and international, as well as providing tax strategies and planning to corporations, partnerships and individuals. Mallah Furman, a Certified Public Accounting firm with offices in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, has served South Florida and the surrounding region for 50 years.
Howard is, and has been, a board member of numerous organizations, including State of Israel Bonds, Greater Miami Jewish Federation, AIPAC, Hillel Council, Tel Aviv University, Rambam Medical Center in New York, Anti Defamation League, Congregation Bet Shira, Jewish National Fund, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and Baptist Hospital Foundation.
